How to decode ETF names
An ETF name looks cryptic but every part means something. Take a real one from our ETF list:
iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF USD (Acc)
- iShares – the provider (BlackRock).
- Core – a low-cost flagship line.
- MSCI World – the index it tracks.
- UCITS – the EU regulatory framework (investor protection).
- USD – the fund currency (not your currency risk directly).
- (Acc) – accumulating; (Dist) would pay out. See distributing vs accumulating.
Now open any fund on Alysly and you can read its name at a glance – and check TER, holdings and domicile in the key facts.
